Counseling for Men
Men often carry silent burdens — expectations, pressures, and responsibilities that can feel overwhelming. In counseling, you’ll find a supportive space to talk openly, free from judgment. Together, we’ll address challenges in relationships, work, and identity, while also building resilience, integrity, and peace of mind. My goal is to help you reconnect with what matters most and walk forward with confidence and purpose.
Adolescent Support
The teenage years are full of questions about who we are and where we belong. For young men especially, the path to adulthood can feel uncertain. These sessions provide guidance, encouragement, and tools to navigate this season well. By focusing on self-worth, healthy choices, and a vision for the future, I aim to help young men grow into honorable, confident individuals ready to take their next steps in life.
Trauma Informed Therapy
Painful experiences from the past can leave deep marks, shaping the way we think, feel, and relate to others. Trauma-informed therapy offers a safe and steady place to process those experiences at your own pace. With compassion and care, we work toward restoring trust, reducing distress, and uncovering hope. Healing is not about erasing the past, but about finding new strength and freedom to live more fully today.
Coaching & Personal Growth
Sometimes the struggle isn’t about surviving, but about becoming. Coaching is forward-looking, focusing on clarity, growth, and direction. Whether one-on-one or in a group setting, I provide guidance and accountability to help you pursue your goals with intention. We’ll explore your strengths, uncover obstacles, and develop practical steps toward meaningful change. Coaching is about creating a life of purpose — and taking the steps to walk into it.
How Do I Know if Therapy is Right for Me?
Counselling or coaching can be helpful for anyone navigating stress, anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, or big life transitions. It can also support those wanting to grow in confidence, strengthen identity, or explore new direction in life. Therapy isn’t only for when things feel overwhelming — it can also be a proactive step toward greater balance, resilience, and personal growth. If you’ve ever felt stuck, burdened, or simply unsure of your next steps, counselling or coaching can provide the tools, insight, and support to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Blending the Process
Every person’s story is unique, which is why I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy or coaching. Each of the methods described here offers valuable insights and tools, but it’s often the blend of approaches that creates the most effective path to growth and healing. Depending on your needs, we might draw on elements from several different modalities, tailoring each session to your circumstances. The following sections outline some of the main approaches I use, and how they can support you in your journey toward freedom, balance, and restoration.
Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Counselling or coaching can be helpful for anyone navigating stress, anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, or big life transitions. It can also support those wanting to grow in confidence, strengthen identity, or explore new direction in life. Therapy isn’t only for when things feel overwhelming — it can also be a proactive step toward greater balance, resilience, and personal growth. If you’ve ever felt stuck, burdened, or simply unsure of your next steps, counselling or coaching can provide the tools, insight, and support to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a practical and evidence-based approach that helps identify and change unhelpful thought patterns that drive negative emotions and behaviours. By learning new ways of thinking and responding, you can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while building healthier coping strategies. CBT gives you practical tools that you can carry into everyday life to create lasting positive change.
Family System Therapy (FST)
Family Systems Therapy explores the ways family relationships and dynamics shape our wellbeing, behaviours, values and beliefs. By understanding these patterns, individuals and families can improve communication, strengthen connection, and create healthier ways of relating to each other. This approach is especially beneficial for resolving conflict, breaking unhealthy cycles, and building stronger, more supportive family bonds.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative Therapy is based on the idea that the stories we tell about ourselves shape our identity and our experience of life. Sometimes, these stories can become limiting or damaging. Narrative Therapy helps you to reframe your story, recognise your strengths, and rediscover hope. This approach allows you to move beyond old patterns and embrace a more empowering vision of who you are and what’s possible for your life.
Coaching
Coaching is a forward-focused process that helps you clarify your goals, build on your strengths, and create a path toward the life you want to live. While counselling often looks at healing from past wounds and addressing emotional challenges, coaching is more about growth, direction, and accountability for the future. The same therapeutic tools — such as ACT, CBT, Family Systems, and Narrative approaches — can be applied within a coaching framework, giving you both the insight and the practical strategies to move forward with confidence and purpose.
