I offer counselling and coaching for teens, men, women and families, with a special emphasis on supporting adolescent boys and men’s wellbeing. My work centers on personal growth, trauma recovery, and navigating life’s challenges. I’m Nigel, a counselor and coach passionate about helping people find freedom from stress, trauma, and anxiety so they can discover their true worth and live life to the full. I take a holistic approach that values the whole person — body, mind, emotions, and spirit — and I provide a safe, supportive space for growth, healing, and restoration.

My background in youth work has allowed me to walk alongside young people as they navigate identity, relationships, and life’s pressures, offering guidance and encouragement for the journey into adulthood.

Mens Health

With suicide still the largest cause of death in Australian males, I’m passionate about supporting men in discovering their true identity and value, while also addressing the unique pressures they face. My work includes walking alongside men in times of struggle, promoting resilience, through early support and open conversation.

My Approach & Philosophy

I use a blend of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Systems Therapy to provide practical tools and insights you can apply to your life. Together, we’ll work on understanding and shifting unhelpful thought patterns, strengthening values-based choices, and exploring how relationships and family dynamics shape your wellbeing. Each session is tailored to your story and your goals, so the process feels relevant and supportive.

I view you as a whole person — with spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical dimensions that are deeply connected. When one part of life feels out of balance, it can affect everything else. The aim of our work is not just relief from symptoms, but restoring balance so you can experience greater freedom and fullness in every area of life.

At the core of this is the truth that you already have inherent value and worth. These aren’t things you have to earn through achievements, possessions, or the approval of others — they’re already part of who you are. As we work together, you’ll be supported to reconnect with that truth and find freedom from stress, anxiety, fear, and the weight of external expectations.

You weren’t meant to go through life alone. Community and relationship play an essential role in our health, and counselling can be a space where you feel seen, heard, and encouraged. My goal is to walk with you as you discover greater resilience, freedom, and confidence to live a balanced, purposeful, and hope-filled life.
